Calculus&Mathematica Technical Requirements

Listed below are the system requirements we recommend for running the software used in Calculus&Mathematica. Most of the software will run on lesser systems, however these are the minimum specifications we recommend for acceptable performance.

PC Systems

• Pentium 233 or higher
• Windows 95/98 or Windows NT4.0 or higher
• 64 MB RAM or higher
• 300 MB free hard drive space
• Remote Schools and students are highly encouraged to have a T1 connection or cable-modem connection. Modem connections are not recommended but will work.

Macintosh Systems

• PowerPC or G3
• System 8 or higher
• 48 MB RAM or higher
• 300 MB free hard drive space
• Schools participating in the remote program MUST have a T1 connection or cable-modem connection. Modem connections are not recommended but will work.

• Mathematica Version 5.0 or above (High School or student versions will work)
• A web browser (Netscape Communicator or Internet Explorer versions 7.0 or higher.)
• AOL Instant Messenger or other similar services, such as ICQ, are not required but VERY helpful.
• E-mail software (if not using a web based email service.)
